Dear Bertie,
What has happened to your mistress? As John might ask: has she given up on her bloke?
Did the cry-for-help knife wound turn septic, therefore hindering her typing ability? Has she spent all her time frivolously tootling around the glens in her whizzy new car and left herself no time for blogging? Has she fallen down and not been able to get up? Are you, Bertie, at this very moment, chewing the remains of her ulna to stay alive?
Yours bloglessly,
Cousin Margaret
Bertie's reply:
Hey there, cuzzy! We've been having fun. First of all Faye came to stay, she's my favourite visitor on account of lots of walks and cuddles and treats. She didn't stay long though, just a few days. Then Andrew came by, but that was just the one day, for two walks. Great to see him though. And then it was David and Donna staying! They are cool too - Donna says she loves me, and I love her too. No more visitors since then, but I live in hope. We have been for lots of rides in the new car. I like it apart from the windows, which whizz up too fast and sometimes hit me in the nose.
We've had some really good walks lately and I've got some cool new friends. Yesterday we went to Holyrood Park and I waded in the pond, got all muddy, ha ha. The weather's been too hot for chasing rabbits though.
Look at my new table! I love it:

There might be more to report soon. There's been some talk of a "new machine" - hope it's not one of these computer things, she already spends far too much time fiddling about with them.
This picture was on the screen today - anyone know what it is?
