I had been dithering about which camera to take to Bhutan with me: the Ixus or the EOS? The EOS takes much better photos but is big. I tried taking zillions of photos with the Ixus to learn the settings better. But still it was frustrating - it's really just a point and shoot, a good one but limited.
And then a colleague had her Olympus mid-size compact at work and ooooooh, I thought, that's cool. I do like Canons, so I shopped around and got a Powershot G9, a perfect compromise. So perfect I'm might sell both my other cameras! It has all the manual settings you could want, plus the fun compact camera things like video. You can fit lenses and filters to it with an adapter. So I'm a happy snappy bunny.
