Andrew arrived today weary and blistered after walking from South Gyle, where he'd been ferried by the friend he was staying with. The friend thought it was maybe three miles' walk .... so Andrew walked a few miles, then saw a sign that said "Forth Road Bridge 9 miles".

Luckily I'd already taken Bertie for his walk before Andrew arrived, so he was able to collapse. Later he treated me to lunch, at a Italian/Spanish place. It's great to see him again. Bertie thinks he's wonderful too, which is good because they're sharing the kennel tonight.
